Xtreme Readers 4-5 Grade Book Club

Attention 4th and 5th graders: did you ever read a book and loved it so much you couldn’t wait to talk about it with your friends?  If so, the Xtreme Readers bookclub is perfect for you.

This month we are reading Coo by Kaela Noel, a beautifully written  “unforgettable animal story about friendship, family, home, and belonging.” The book is available on hoopla in ebook and audiobook formats.

We meet on Zoom Tuesday, January 26 @ 6 PM. Register with your Livingston Library Card in the calendar on our website. You will receive an email with a link to join the Zoom meeting the day before the event.

Happy Reading!
Gina Vaccaro, Youth Services Librarian

  1. Animals’ stories allegorically taught humankind from Panchatantra to Aesop’s Fables which were in many instances mirror images with each other, presence of mind, cleverness, longsightedness, tact, diplomacy. The former a treatise of 5 different subjects dealt with tiger, lion, fox, turtle, hare, monkey, ox, donkey other animals and demonstrated wisdom that is a crest jewel in the crown of humanity.
