Virtual Museums

Missing our Museum Passes? So are we! Luckily, many museums have curated virtual tours of their collections. Explore galleries, listen to artists, and watch video walkthroughs all from the comfort of your own home.

Once the library has reopened, we hope you will take the opportunity to borrow one of our Museum Passes and see these wonderful institutions in person.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden offers a Daily Dose of Spring. Visit here for beautiful photos of plants in bloom.

Children’s Museum of Manhattan

The Children’s Museum of Manhattan has created various videos and activities for you to explore with your child, including sing-alongs, storytimes, art projects, and more.

Eastern State Penitentiary

Explore the inside of the Eastern State Penitentiary and learn about this historic Philadelphia landmark.

Grounds for Sculpture

Grounds for Sculpture had photos and descriptions of the many sculptures in the park, as well as virtual tours of their indoor exhibitions.

Guggenheim

The Guggenheim has a variety of online videos, archived live-stream events, and artist talks available in addition to a visual tour of the famous building, permanent collection, and current exhibitions.

The Frick Collection

The Frick Collection has their entire collection available to view online, including current exhibitions and information on the historical building.

Intrepid Museum

The Intrepid has a variety of videos available including a behind the scenes look at the museum and a variety of virtual video tours.

The Jewish Museum

The Jewish Museum has a variety of audio playlists, artist’s voices, and featured objects.

MoMA

The MoMA has posted videos on current exhibitions, art making activities, art from home instruction, and links to their permanent collection.

Montclair Art Museum

The Montclair Art Museum offers various creative challenges, online exhibitions, and artist spotlights.
