Join professional storyteller and historian, Carol Simon Levin, as she portrays Lillian Moller Gilbreth, motion study pioneer & “Cheaper by the Dozen” NJ mother of 12 (who in 1965 was dubbed the “First Lady of Engineering”), then shares the stories of many other overlooked women innovators.

VIRTUAL 101 Tips for Maximizing Garage Sale Revenue | Monday, May th at 7pm

In this virtual session presented by Mike Ivankovich, antiques and collectibles expert, he will share tips and strategies designed to help you make more money at your next garage sale. Registration is required for this Zoom event.

Explore the history of the Niagara Falls region – from Native American legends to modern-day parks and attractions – with author and photographer Kevin Woyce.

Presented in collaboration with the East Brunswick Public Library, Hoboken Public Library, Livingston Public Library, Newark Public Library, New Jersey Library Association Diversity & Outreach Committee,  Ridgewood Public Library, Trenton Free Public Library and Union City Public Library.

IN-PERSON An Introduction to Estate Planning and Elder Law | Wednesday, May 18th at 11am 

In this program you will learn about the 3 important estate planning documents:  Wills, Powers of Attorneys, and Advance Directives for Healthcare. Participants will also learn about what happens when you do not plan,  including intestacy (the Court process for administering an estate when there is no Will), guardianship (the Court process for determining if a person is incapacitated and appointing someone to manage his or affairs when there is no Power of Attorney), and the devastation of long term care costs (including methods of paying such as Medicaid).

IN-PERSON Stories from NJ Diners | Monday, May 23rd  at 7pm

Join speaker Michael Gabriele, author of “Stories from New Jersey Diners” (published in 2019 by The History Press) as he presents a program on his book, sharing stories he has documented about the “Diner Capital of the World.”  The heartfelt remembrances that Garbriele will share have shaped lives, families, careers, businesses, and communities, and comprise the “untold” stories of New Jersey’s history.
