Bookish Vibes | Wednesday,  May 11 @ 7pm

Are you an avid reader looking to discuss contemporary fiction, trending titles, and popular authors?  If so, our Bookish Vibes book group is for you!  Join us this month as we discuss Good Neighbors  by Joanne Serling who will also be joining our discussion!  Copies of the novel will be available for check out at the Patron Services Desk.

Let’s Talk About Books | Friday, May 13 @ 12:45pm

Join Let’s Talk About Books, a monthly afternoon book club.  You’re invited to come to the December meeting ready to discuss What We Were Promised by Lucy Tan.

Crime Time | Wednesday, May 18 @ 7pm

Can’t get enough of the true crime genre? Looking for something to do after binging shows like Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez, McMillions and The Vow? Then join the Livingston Public Library for the brand new virtual book club, Crime Time! Crime Time is a true crime and crime adjacent book club where readers will explore everything from historical crime to unsolved mysteries. This month we will be discussing The Five: The Third Rainbow Girl: The Long Life in A Double Murder in Appalachia by Emma Copley Eisenberg.

Cookbook Club | Wednesday, May 25 @ 7pm

Do you enjoy cooking, sharing ideas, and kitchen tips, while enjoying great food?  Join the Livingston Public Library’s Cookbook Club!  We meet once every other month to create recipes from a cookbook to share and discuss. For our May 2022 meeting, we will be selecting and creating recipes from Nothing Fancy: Unfancy Food For Having People Over by Alison Roman.  Selections are due by Monday, May 23, 2022.

How does Cookbook Club work?  Copies of the selected title are available at the main desk.  Choose a recipe and email Melissa Brisbin before the due date at melissa.brisbin@livingston.bccls.org.  Create your dish and be ready to discuss and share with others.  The Library will provide dishes, utensils, and water.

Unstuck In Time | Tuesday, May 31 @ 7pm

“Unstuck in Time” revisits classic speculative fiction. Print copies of The City We Became by N.K. Jemisin will be available to check out from our circulation desk starting 4 weeks before the meeting.  Ebook and audiobook editions are also available through Overdrive.
