Take a Leap at the Library

take a leap

Every four years on February 29, we get an extra day on the calendar. Why not use this little time-bonus to take a chance and try something new?

Perhaps you could finally start reading one of those daunting, phone book-sized classics you’ve always been too intimidated to crack open– like Ulysses, or War and Peace, or Moby Dick. (And if you need a little help getting through one of those books, there’s no shame in checking out a study guide, too.)

Maybe you’ve been meaning to learn another language– in which case, you could use your Livingston Library card to access resources like Mango or Rosetta Stone.

You could also take the opportunity to cook a dish you’ve never eaten before, thanks to the New York Times’ Cooking Guide.

Or you could start learning all kinds of new skills in areas like business, technology, design, health, and the arts through the dozens of video courses available on Udemy.

However you choose to seize this Leap Day, we hope the Livingston Library can help you get started…
