We ended 2023 with some wonderful programs that took place this December! Below is a recap of what happened at the Livingston Public Library this month.

Our Hooks and Needles knitting, crochet, and needle point group met twice this month to work on their independent projects while socializing with other textile crafters!

Those looking to enjoy a film were happy to attend our Weekend Movie screening, as well as our evening and matinee screenings of our Movie of the Month

Have you explored the Library’s physical and digital local history collection? Those looking to explore Livingston’s history enjoyed our drop-in Local History Room Open House.

We love to get crafty! Adults explored their creative sides this month with our librarian-led Crafterwork, drop-in Crafternoon, and instructor-led Adult Art Workshop: Make a Winter Luminary, and Adult Art Workshop: Pet Portrait Painting

Those looking to learn something new also enjoyed lectures to inspire life-long learning! This month attendees enjoyed Celebrate the Genius of Pablo Picasso,  Lee Miller: From Fashion Model to War Photographer, and It’s a Wonderful Life: The Box Office Flop that Became a Christmas Classic.

Those looking to get active attended our monthly Adult Yoga Workshop. While those looking to create healthy and tasty holiday beverages enjoyed a workshop on crafting Holiday Mocktails

Are you interested in how you can download ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines digitally from the library? Those looking to learn more about the Library’s digital collections participated in our tech class on Learning Libby

Seniors enjoyed our monthly Senior Happening performance. We were also happy to have Teen Techie Tutors following Senior Happening, where teens from Livingston High School’s Teen Techie Tutor club assisted Seniors with using their technology.

We also had some wonderful and lively book discussions! This month we enjoyed our Let’s Talk About Books book club, Crime Time book club, and Bookish Vibes book club and author visit with Joyce Maynard.

Be sure to visit our events calendar to see what programs we have planned for 2024!

We hope to see you at the Library soon!

-Jessica, Head of Adult Services & Acquisitions
