Last summer, we introduced Wonderbooks to the children’s collection for the first time at the library. These amazing items combine a full traditional print book with a built-in audio player featuring two modes: a full text narration, or a learning mode with thoughtful questions as you read along. Wonderbooks allow you to enjoy whatever combination of reading and listening you prefer, and are ideal for emerging and experienced readers alike!

If you haven’t had a chance to check them out yet, now is the perfect time – because of your fantastic response this past year, we’ve just tripled our Wonderbook collection! There are now over 100 Wonderbooks for you to browse, from picture books and sing-a-long stories to early readers and popular chapter books… even a full collection of National Geographic Kids!

Find chapter books in the youth media area with our DVD collection, and picture books & early readers in the children’s seating area displayed along the wall. Search our full Wonderbook collection at any time by typing “wonderbook” into the library’s online catalog.

We’re so excited for you to explore the future of audio & print with us!

Happy reading!

-Melanie Bruchet, Youth Services Librarian
