Stay Home & Be Fit!

Stay Home & Be Fit!

Your gym may be closed and you may be stuck at home for long hours,  but you can still continue to stay fit and healthy by working out at home.  After all, regular exercise is one of the best ways to help build your body’s immunity and cope with any anxiety or stress during this very uncertain time. The Library has several online resources to keep you on your chosen exercise routine or to help you explore or launch a new exercise regimen.

Hoopla has exercise videos on  pilates, cardio burn, yoga, Richard Simmons dance and sweat routines, and if you want something you haven’t done before, you can try out the Bollywood dance workout video.Imagine taking your next treadmill walk or virtual bike rides through such scenic venues as Quebec city, Bermuda, the Blue Ridge Mountains and many more, using the videos available from Hoopla; your time on the exercise equipment is sure to fly by!

When it comes to workout music, there are tons of great choices on Hoopla

For more motivation or specific ideas and plans to workout, you can check out ebooks on Overdrive including titles like Super Body, Super Brain by Michael Gonzalez-Wallace or Making the Cut by Jillian Michaels.

Whether you exercise indoors or step out for a refreshing walk or invigorating bike ride, digital editions of magazines like Yoga Journal, Muscle & Fitness, Runner’s World, and Bicycling are available via RB Digital for you to consult and learn new tips and tricks.
