September Adult Programming Wrap Up

We had some wonderful adult programs take place during the month of September.  Here is a quick recap of what happened at the Library this month!

We learned how to Develop a Winning Resume with a resume writing workshop presented by Debra J. Stark.  Participants walked away with tips to help their resume better reflect their personal brand and communicate their skills.

We also enjoyed a wonderful in-person lecture on Hollywood Yiddishkeit: Jewish Images in American Film. During this lecture we learned all about how film depictions of Jews and Judaic culture have evolved from the silent era right up to the present. We also celebrated National Hispanic Heritage Month with a lecture on the Great Artists of Latin America

Floral arrangements can brighten any room! This month we also enjoyed a lecture and demonstration on The Principles of Floral Design

Those looking to get crafty enjoyed our Adult Art Workshop: Neurographic Art class and our drop-in Crafternoon event.

Do you enjoy using garlic in your recipes? We learned all about this ingredient during our Grow Great Garlic workshop. Participants also brought home some heirloom garlic cloves!

Our Seniors enjoyed the fall premiere of the Library’s monthly Senior Happening event with a performance by the New Jersey Symphony.

Our Tuesday Night Movie came back this fall with a screening of The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. Everyone enjoyed seeing the film in our Library’s program room.

Do you love book clubs? This month we enjoyed the Library’s Crime Time book club, Let’s Talk About Books, Bookish Vibes book club and author visit with Laura Sims, and Cookbook Club

Our English Language Learner’s program has returned this fall. In addition to our Casual Conversation Groups, we also started our new ELL Book Club and Basic Grammar class. You can learn more about the Library’s ELL program here

Be sure to visit our events calendar to see what fun and engaging events we have planned for October.

See you next month!
