November Program Wrap-Up

We enjoyed a wide variety of wonderful adult programs this month at the Livingston Library! Below is a quick recap of what took place.

Do you always find yourself feeling sluggish in the mid-afternoon? This month we learned how to naturally boost our energy during the lecture Elevate Your Energy: Natural Ways to Beat the 3pm Slump. Those interested in getting active enjoyed our monthly Adult Yoga Workshop in the Library’s program room!

Do you know how to perform CPR or use an AED? We partnered with the Livingston First Aid Squad to offer the workshop Learn CPR and AED.

We got crafty at the Library with wonderful creative arts events. Attendees enjoyed our Pressed Flower Cards and Flower Zentangle adult art workshops. Those looking to work on crochet, knitting, and needlepoint projects  enjoyed our drop-in Hooks and Needles afternoon and evening meetings.

We enjoyed the historical lecture 1620 – Plymouth, MA: Where the Pilgrims Landed just in time for Thanksgiving. We also enjoyed our first Local History Room Open House, which allowed us to explore the physical and digital offerings in the Library’s local history room.

Those interested in learning more about history also enjoyed listening to the lectures Conflict in Images and Words: Word Photographers as Storytellers and Cinema & Television: The NJ Connection.

We love our book clubs! This month we enjoyed our Cookbook Club, Thrilling Tales book club, Let’s Talk About Books, Crime Time, and our Bookish Vibes book club and author visit with Elise Hooper. While those interested in writing themselves enjoyed the workshop How and Why to Write Your Life Story.

Seniors were happy to attend our monthly Senior Happening where Fred Miller performed a lecture-in-song on Frank Sinatra.

Last but not least, we also enjoyed our Movie of the Month afternoon screening in the Library’s program room.

Make sure to visit the Library’s event calendar to save the date for all of the wonderful events we have planned for December. We hope to see you at the Library soon!
