Newsbank Updates

Hi blog readers,

Did you know that the Livingston Library has a digital subscription to the Star Ledger that can be found on our website under Resources A-Z or through this direct link? It’s true! Access to the Star Ledger collection includes text from 1989 through present and also full images of the paper from 2017 through today.

We are also pleased to announce that we now have additional resources available through Newsbank as well. Heritage Hub is a way for you to explore your family history with the premier collection of U.S. obituaries and death notices for in-depth genealogical research from 1704 – today. HeritageHub helps you easily identify relatives, uncover new information and potentially unknown family members. It includes deep coverage from all 50 states, hard-to-find content from the mid 1900’s, and original obituary images. The best part? Access is available 24/7! If you’d prefer to learn how to use the service via a tutorial, just click here

In addition, we have also added Black Life In America, which focuses on the experience and impact of African Americans as recorded by the news media. Check out more information about this great resource with the video found here

As always, if you have any questions please contact the library and we will be happy to help.

-Katie, Head of Adult Services & Acquisitions
