“My Imaginary World” Children’s Art Show June 2022

The Livingston Public Library’s display case is featuring “My Imaginary World” a bright exhibit of artworks created by local children ages 6-18 years old.

The works are done in various media and include oil painting, water colors, sketches, and oil pastels, as well as works done in markers and crayons.   The children have represented their favorite cartoon figures, games, super heroes, fairy tales and other worlds of fantasy in vivid colors and clearly expressed drawings.

All of the featured artists are taught by Livingston resident Christine Qin Wittlinger (Christine’s Art Studio) , who has both an art and business degree from China and America. Her method emphasizes creative expression combined with drawing techniques such as line color, proportion, perspective and more.

Her students have received many awards, including the Scholastic Awards (Golden key and Silver Key in drawing category);  some students’  artworks were selected for display in the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Barnabas hospital,  and others have been a “State Finalist” in the U.S. Doodle 4 Google competition, as well as the winner of  the Poster Art Contest organized by Morris country council of Education Association.

We invite you to enjoy this exhibit during the month of June.
