Movie of the Month: POLITE SOCIETY

movie of the month sep 2023

This month, you can enjoy Bridgerton‘s Priya Kansara in POLITE SOCIETY on the big screen in our program room! Showtimes will be Tuesday, September 26 at 6:30 PM, and Thursday, September 28 at 2 PM.

When her demure older sister, Lena, announces her impending nuptials, Ria vows to thwart the marriage by whatever means necessary, believing she is saving her sister from an uncertain fate. Armed with an overactive imagination and a ragtag gaggle of friends, Ria concocts an outlandish heist to protect her sister’s independence.

The BBC wrote that the film is “an action-packed, genre-blending delight that fires on all cylinders… everything – from the writing to the cinematography, the performances, the choreography and the soundtrack – is on point, and it has all the requisite ingredients to be an exhilarating experience for audiences that come along for the ride.” The Daily Telegraph also praised Priya Kansara’s magnetic performance, calling her a “blatant star-in-the-making.”

This screening is free and open to all, with no registration required.

The film is rated PG-13, and runs 1 hour, 45 minutes. It will be screened with English subtitles for the hard of hearing.

Free popcorn will be served (while supplies last).

Doors will open 30 minutes before showtime.
