Message from the Director: Welcome Fall with the Homegrown String Band

Livingston Library Community,

Come join us as we welcome in fall with a performance by the Homegrown String Band on Sunday, October 9th at 2pm. Here you’ll become immersed in the song and spirit of acoustic high-energy American roots music. It’s sure to be a good time!

This event is free and open to everyone of all ages, so bring the whole family. The Homegrown String Band is a traditional family band that has been playing together since 1997. The band uses a variety of instruments such as: guitar, banjo, ukulele, harmonica, and jawharp to put their own unique spring on classic rural American music.

And if you get inspired to create your own acoustic string music, you can with your Livingston Library card! In addition to print and digital resources, Livingston cardholders can also borrow ukuleles from the Library of Things. You can view the full offering of items within the Library of Things collection, here.

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
