Message From the Director: Watch “Woman King” This December at the Library!

Livingston Library Community,

Are you looking for an escape from the holiday rush? Join us on Tuesday, December 20th at 6:30pm in the Library’s program room for our monthly Tuesday Night Movie screening! This month we will be showing the film Woman King (2022).

While watching Woman King, you will discover the remarkable story of the Agojie, the all-female unit of warriors who protected the African Kingdom of Dahomey in the 1800s with skills and a fierceness unlike anything the world has ever seen. This film is inspired by true events and stars Oscar-winning actress Viola Davis.

Woman King is rated PG-13, and runs 2 hours, 15 minutes. It will be screened in English with English subtitles. All are welcome to attend this event and registration is not required.

We hope to see you there!

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
