Message from the Director: The Greatest Sitcoms of All Time

amy intro graphic

Livingston Library Community,

We all have a favorite television sitcom that we enjoy watching (and maybe even rewatching!) You’re invited to join us at the Livingston Public Library on Monday, January 8th at 7 pm for the presentation The Greatest Sitcoms of all Time: A Funny Program About Funny Programs

During this presentation based off Martin Gitlin’s book “The Greatest Sitcoms of All Time,” pop-culture historian Gitlin will take us through a cinematic journey exploring classic sitcoms such as I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, The Andy Griffith Show, Get Smart, All in the Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Cheers, The Golden Girls, Seinfeld, Frasier, and The Big Bang Theory

We will watch laugh-out-loud funny snippets from these shows, participate in some sitcom trivia, and discuss the criteria Giltin used to rank the 70 years of television sitcoms within his book. Registration is not required for this event and all are welcome.

We hope to see you there!

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
