Message From the Director: Stress Less Holiday Entertaining

“Celebrate good times, come on!” — Kool and the Gang

‘Tis the season for family get-togethers and holiday gatherings.  But let’s face it, sometimes planning the menu, decorating, and making sure everyone is enjoying themselves can become stressful!

To help eliminate a little bit of the stress that comes with entertaining, Livingston Public Library invites you to join us on Wednesday, November 20 at 7:00 PM for a crash course on Holiday Entertaining presented by Vanessa Young of the Thirsty Radish.  Vanessa will be showing us practical planning tips for menus and decor as well as inspiration and advice on how to infuse personal style and creativity into a celebration.  With these tips and tricks you’ll worry less and be able to enjoy time with your company more.  It doesn’t get any better than that!

Are you looking to be inspired?  Check out some of the great entertaining books the Livingston Library has on it’s shelf such as Celebrate Everything: Fun Ideas to Bring Your Parties to Life by Darcy Miller or Life is a Party: Deliciously Doable Recipes to Make Everyday a Celebration by David Burtka.  As always, our friendly librarians are more than happy to assist with finding books that inspire you.
