Message From the Director: Spring Into Gardens!

Livingston Library Community,

April showers bring May flowers and this April the Livingston Public Library has events planned to help you plant beautiful spring gardens– even in small spaces!

On Wednesday, April 13th at 11am, the Livingston Library invites you to join us for Small Space Gardening: Growing Vegetables, Flowers, and Herbs in a Limited Area. During this event Yeoman farmer, Anthony Bracco will show aspiring gardeners how to achieve a bountiful yield of vegetables and herbs in a small growing space. Bracco will also cover how to site, plan, and construct a simple small space garden, even demonstrating some of the hand tools needed to get the project done!

Those interested in learning about rain gardens can join us Wednesday, April 20th at 11am for the presentation All About Rain Gardens. During this lecture, Dr Amy Rowe of Rutgers Cooperative Extension will teach us all about these shallow, landscaped depressions that capture and treat stormwater runoff at the source.

Registration is not required for these in-person events. We can’t wait to see you in the library this spring!

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
