Message from the Director: Scrumptious Virtual Programs at the Livingston Library

“To me, food is as much about the moment, the occasion, the location and the company as it is about the taste.” – Heston Blumenthal

Livingston Library Community,

Are you looking for something scrumptious to do in the evening? The Livingston Public Library has some delectable virtual programs planned this month that will have you looking at your shopping list (and maybe even our cookbook collection!)

On Monday, March 22nd at 7pm, we invite you to join us for Beer & Food: An Exploration, where award winning journalist, John Holl, will guide us through the many flavors of beer (tropical, toast, caramel, pine, coffee, etc.) and how these various flavors compliment certain meals. Holl will go beyond the surface of these pairings and dive deep into how beer styles and ingredients work with the way dishes are prepared.

For those looking to liven up their weekly meals and make meal planning less stressful and perhaps even exciting, join the Livingston Public Library on Wednesday, March 31st at 7pm for Simplifying Weekly Meal Planning where Vanessa Young of the Thirsty Radish will discuss tips, strategies, and recipes for delicious weekly meals. Young will cover topics such as: stretching meals creatively over multiple days, yummy flavor combinations, kitchen organization, and simple strategies that work whether you are cooking for one or for a crowd.

**These programs are to take place virtually through Zoom.  Registration is required for these events and can be done so on the Library’s event calendar, here.  Information on how to access the Zoom event will be emailed to you the day before the program is to take place.**

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
