Message From the Director: Say Yes to New Adventures With Lit Trips

Livingston Library Community,

Books have the power to allow us to travel the world from the comfort of our own homes.  From the beach, to back in time to the 1800s, and even to countries we haven’t had the opportunity to visit in person, books are a travel lover’s best friend.

Something really exciting is that Google now has a software called LitTrips.  These LitTrips are downloadable files that mark the journeys of famous characters in the novels that you cherish, across Google Earth.  They contain relevant media resources and discussion starters that give the reading experience a whole extra dimension.

If you’re looking for other ways to explore the world from inside your own home, our librarians have compiled resources on our library blog for you to enjoy.  You can take virtual tours of museums and famous libraries, explore other countries, and even learn a new language with Mango and Little Pim!

With your library, the possibilities of worlds you can explore is endless!

Stay in touch, Stay safe.
-Amy
