We may be in the dead of winter, but next week at the Library, you can bask in the beautiful, summery sounds of one of American music’s most iconic artists. That’s when we’ll be hosting “The Creative Flowering of Brian Wilson,” a special presentation by Livingston’s own Dave Gebroe.

As the host of Discograffiti, “the podcast for music obsessives,” Dave has spent countless hours discussing classic pop/rock music with acclaimed musicians, record producers, and authors, with an especially granular focus on his favorite band, The Beach Boys. And at 7pm on Tuesday, January 20th, Dave will dive deep into the poignant journey of the group’s mastermind, the late Brian Wilson, as he evolved from writing upbeat top 40 hits about surfing and cars to composing innovative symphonic masterpieces like Pet Sounds and Smile.

This lecture is free and open to all, with no registration required. We hope you’ll come by and pick up some good vibrations with us next week!
