Livingston Library Community.

This year’s summer reading slogan is “Color Our World,” a theme centered around artistic expression, diversity, and community. This summer, adults are invited to  join us as we give back to our local community through the Library’s 7th year of  LiviCares: Adult Volunteer Club. 

On Friday, August 8th at 11am, adults are invited to put their crafty skills to good use as we make fleece pet blankets to be donated to Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter. Adults are also encouraged to join us on Friday, August 29th at 11am, where we will be making greeting cards to be donated to American troops through the organization Operation Gratitude. Both of these workshops are librarian-led and all materials will be provided. Registration is required to participate, and can be done so on the Library’s event calendar. 

Are you looking for more ways to give back to the community? The Library also offers Livi Cares kits through the Library of Things! Through the Library of Things you can borrow a card making kit, where cards created will be donated to the organization Cards for Hospitalized Kids. You can learn more about the other really cool items that you can borrow through the Library of Things on the Library’s website.
