The holiday season is upon us, and the Livingston Library has holiday-inspired events for all ages that you can look forward to all month long!
On Monday, December 11th at 7pm, adults are invited to attend the lecture It’s a Wonderful Life: The Box Office Flop that Became a Christmas Classic. During this lecture we will go behind the scenes and explore how this film surprised everyone by becoming a well-loved classic.
Are you looking for a healthy and festive non-alcoholic beverage to enjoy this season? On Tuesday, December 12th at 11am, adults are welcome to join us for a Holiday Season Mocktail Workshop. During this workshop, participants will discover tips and inspiration for drink recipes, syrups, infusions, garnishes, and more. A tasting of the delicious recipes will follow. Registration is required for this event.
Looking for a fun winter craft? On Wednesday, December 13th at 11am, adults are also invited to join us for an instructor-led art workshop where we will be making Winter Luminaries. Registration is required for this workshop.
Our Seniors can look forward to our December 15th Senior Happening performance where The Barros will be performing A Holiday Show! This showcase features a mixture of holiday classics in the versions made popular in the ‘50s, ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s by artists such as Brenda Lee, Bing Crosby, Darlene Love, and others. Registration is required for Senior Happening.
Children can look forward to our Musical Storytime Holiday Concert on Wednesday, December 20th at 4pm where Guitar Joe will be performing a variety of festive songs that will make little ones want to get up, dance, and sing along!
Children enjoyed our take-home Hannukah Craft last week, and children can also look forward to enjoying our take-home Christmas Craft starting December 11th, Kwanzaa Craft starting December 18th, and New Year’s Craft starting on December 26th. These crafts are available at the Youth Services Desk while supplies last.
