Message From the Director: Get Ready For Your Next Adventure

Livingston Library Community,

As restrictions are being lifted and traveling is beginning to open up, you may be thinking about planning your next well-deserved adventure! The Livingston Public Library is here to help with language learning software and courses available to you with your Livingston Public Library card! The Livingston Public Library has access to three language learning digital resources: Mango, Rosetta Stone, and Little Pim. You can access these digital resources through the Library’s website, here.

Mango

Mango offers users access to 60 foriegn language courses and 17 English courses taught in the user’s native language! You can access mango remotely through your computer or on-the go through the Mango app available for Apple, Android, Kindle, and Nook Devices.

Rosetta Stone

You may be familiar with the Rosetta Stone language learning software name, but did you know that you can get the software for free, digitally, from your library? Rosetta Stone is available to every New Jersey library card holder and has lessons for 30 different languages. Lessons range from grammar, writing, speaking, and listening skills, as well as activities to help with vocabulary. There is also a mobile app available for on-the-go learning!

Little Pim

If you’re interested in getting your little ones started with learning a new language, Little Pim is for you! Little Pim is an online language learning resource that has lessons designed for early language development. It’s perfect for getting your children started with learning languages!

Be sure to stop into the library and browse our travel section to find a guidebook or get inspired. We hope you find these resources both helpful and exciting as you plan your next adventure!

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
