Did you know that Thursday, January 11th is “Learn Your Name in Morse Code Day?” Celebrated on the birthday of Samuel Morse, who invented Morse Code, this day gives us an opportunity to revisit this secret language and learn about history.  This year, children in grades K – 5 are invited to join us at 4 pm for a Morse Code Jewelry Workshop. 

During this workshop, children will discover how they can use Morse Code to send secret messages, learn about the history of this language, and how it is still used today. Children will also create jewelry such as lanyards, bracelets, and necklaces, using Morse Code to spell out secret messages that only those who know the code will be able to read! 

Registration is not required for this event, which is made possible by the Friends of the Livingston Library.
