Message from the Director: Discover the Art of Floral Design at the Livingston Library

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.” – Luther Burbank

Livingston Library Community,

A beautiful floral arrangement is sometimes just the thing we need to brighten our day, our home, or our office space. If you would like to learn more about creating beautiful floral arrangements, we invite you to join us at the Library on Wednesday, September 21st at 11am for a lecture and demonstration on the Principles of Floral Design.

During this event we will learn how to make both aesthetically pleasing and budget friendly arrangements using fresh materials. We will also learn what containers are best for various arrangements, as well as the science behind having flowers in your living or working space.

Registration is not required for this event and all aspiring florists are welcome to attend! If you are looking for more floral inspiration, be sure to visit our print collection of floral arrangement books including titles such as Floret Farm’s aYear in Flowers: Designing Gorgeous Arrangements For Every Season by Erin Benzakein, The Flower Chef: The Modern Guide to Do-It-Yourself Floral Arrangements by Carly Cylinder, and more!

We can’t wait to see you at the Library.

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
