Message from the Director: Discover Barbie and More at LPL!

Livingston Library Community,

One of the reasons why I love the Livingston Library is because there is always something new to discover across a wide array of subjects and interests!

This week all are invited to enjoy a night out with a popular film here at the library! On Tuesday, January 23rd at 6:30 pm we will be hosting our Tuesday Night Movie screening of “Barbie.” During this movie, Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) are having the time of their lives in the colorful and seemingly perfect world of Barbie Land. However, when they get a chance to go to the real world, they soon discover the joys and perils of living among humans.

Later during the week, we will also be hosting our Hooks and Needles drop-in knitting, crochet, and embroidery group on Thursday, January 18th at 7 pm. This is the perfect place for those looking for a place to socialize while working on their independent textile projects.

We are also looking ahead to many other wonderful events this year, one of which is our annual Makers Day on Saturday, March 16th. To help make this event a success,  the Livingston Public Library is looking for applicants who have a trade, skill, or craft that they would like to exhibit to our community. You can apply to be an exhibitor and learn more about Makers Day on the Library’s website. Applications will be accepted until February 16th.

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
