This is always an extra-hectic time of year, and the idea of adding even more things to your December calendar may seem overwhelming. But here at the library, we can help ease and enrich your holiday season with a variety of upcoming programs that you sure won’t want to miss!

If you’re intrigued by the convenience of doing some holiday shopping online, but concerned about cybersecurity, drop in on Tuesday, December 9th at 11am for our presentation, “Online Shopping: Safe Practices.” Not only will you learn strategies for recognizing scams and protecting your personal information, you’ll also discover practical tips for finding great deals and making informed purchases.  

Maybe you’d like to exercise your creativity while also making your home more festive? Then register to make your own twinkly holiday decorations at our Adult Art Workshop on Wednesday, December 10th at 11am. Or if you want to get crafty for a good cause, join our all-ages Community Art Workshop at 3:30pm on Wednesday, December 17th, when we’ll create stuffed snow people to donate to RWJ Barnabas Pediatrics.

Of course, the holidays are ultimately about coming together and celebrating our cultural traditions. So in that spirit, we welcome you to “Tales of Togetherness,” a holiday storytime on Thursday, December 11th at 6:30pm. Here, we’ll bask in the joy and wonder of the season as we learn about the traditions of Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Christmas, and more, through books, songs, and stories!

No matter how you celebrate this time of year, we hope the library can help make it one to remember.
