Message From the Director: Book Blast Sale!

“Books to the ceiling,

Books to the sky,

My pile of books is a mile high.

How I love them! How I need them!

I’ll have a long beard by the time I read them.”

― Arnold Lobel

Livingston Library Community,

Celebrate the end of summer and support the Friends of the Livingston Public Library’s Book Blast sale! The Book Blast will run from August 31st through September 2nd and will feature half priced adult non-fiction books.

This is a great opportunity to stock up on titles for your fall reading pile. Located inside the library, The Friends Book Sale has hundreds of titles to choose from. During the Book Blast sale, hardcover non-fiction titles will be priced at 3 for $2.00 or 75¢ each and paperbacks at 3 for $1.00 or 50¢ each. The sale will be open during the Library’s normal business hours and payment operates on an honor system. Payment in the form of cash, check, and Venmo will be accepted.

Friends of the Livingston Public Library is a non-profit 501c(3) entity and proceeds of the sale directly benefit the library. The Friends of the Livingston Public Library support the library by funding services such as the museum pass program, summer reading, crafts, author events, cultural events, lectures, Senior Happening, movie showings, technology acquisitions, ESL program (English as a Second Language), book acquisitions, and subscription purchases. You can learn more about how the Friends support the library, as well as how you join the Friends through the Library’s website, here.

Best,

Amy Babcock, Director
