Message From The Director: Beach, Books, and Bling Sale

Sunscreen.  Check!  Flip flops.  Check!  Towel.  Check!  Riveting read.  Check!

It’s a familiar weekend packing list this time of year, and the Friends of the Library are here to help!  The “Beach Books and Bling” sale starts on Friday, May 31st, and runs through Sunday, June 2nd.  Our program room will be stocked with thousands of summer reading selections – paperbacks, best sellers, children’s books and young adult books.

Friends Beach Books & Bling Sale 2019

And the prices can’t be beat $.50 for adult hardcover books, $.25 for adult softcover books and all children’s/young adult books.  We are sure you will find just the right books to fill your beach bag with something for every member of your family.

And remember, you can’t buy happiness, but you can buy books.  If you ask me, that’s kind of the same thing.

~Amy Babcock-Landry, Director

  1. BLING — Hello, I am a Lifetime Livingston resident and Volunteer at Heavenly Finds Thrift Shop. For years now I have had the honor of taking all the Jewelry donations, sorting, cleaning, repairing and pricing. The most profitable part of my job for the shop is sorting out the Gold and Silver from the donations. I have become quite through with this and have learned many tricks that have increased the amount that gets identified. Some even not marked. I have been taking items to a buyer even if not sure and they gladly test and further educate me.
I would like to offer my service for the Bling sale. I am willing to work with someone to do an inspection of items and see if there are some hidden gems. With the price of gold at a very high rate this could be profitable for the library.
Thank you for all the good work that the Library does for the town. 973-992-4453
    Sincerely, Karen Reichey
