Meet the Author Laura Sims:

Local New Jersey author, Laura Sims will be visiting the Livingston Public Library on Saturday, November 23 at 3pm.  Laura is the author of four books of poetry, as well as one psychological thriller titled Looker, which was published this year.  

Looker is a story about obsession. A woman becomes fixated and entranced by her neighbor- an actress. This fixation soon grows into an all encompassing obsession that has her collecting discarded items from her neighbor’s front steps and fantasizing about intimate interactions with the neighbor’s husband.  After an interaction gone wrong with her neighbor at a block party, what began as an innocent entrancement quickly becomes an dark unraveling.

Laura will be at the library to discuss Looker as well as her experience writing the novel itself, offering advice to aspiring novelists and poets. Copies of her book will be available for purchase and all are welcome to attend.  For more information, check out our events calendar, here. 

Meet Picture Book Author Mike Malbrough:

This month we also have a Meet the Author event planned for children ages 4-8! Picture book author Mike Malbrough will be visiting the Livingston Public Library on Saturday, November 30 at 10:30am.  Mike will be reading his book, Marigold Finds the Magic Words, and then will be doing a craft with the children.
