March Health Programs

March Health Programs

Save the date for these informative health lectures planned for the month of March related to intestinal health.

Did you know the liver is the body’s largest gland? On Monday, March 9 at 7pm, gastroenterologist Ceclia Minano of Summit Medical Group will be joining us at the Library to discuss Liver Disease. At this lecture Minano will give us an overview of the liver, as well as the causes and effects of liver disease such as fatty liver and hepatitis.

Pharmacologist and Food Scientist, Laura Rokosz, will be joining the Library on Thursday, March 19 at 11am to discuss Gut Health and Disease. Dr. Rokosz will illustrate how poor gut health and pathogens contribute to disease and how we can improve our gut health to minimize risk of contracting illness.

You can learn more about these programs via our events calendar, here.

Hope to see you there!
