March Adult Programming Wrap Up

March was full of some wonderful programs for adults. Below is a quick recap of what events took place at the Library this month.

Those looking for answers to their technology questions attended the workshops Answering Your Tech Questions and Tech Help Walkin: Libby, where our technology librarians were available to answer questions.

We enjoyed our monthly Adult Yoga Workshop, as well as the health lecture Sweet Freedom: Break the Sugar Enchantment. This spring will be the healthiest yet!

Those looking to enjoy musical entertainment joined us for When Jazz Meets Pipa, a concert performed by local musician Yang Jing. Seniors enjoyed our monthly Senior Happening performance where Fred Miller performed a Lecture-in-Song on “The Other Jewish Composers.”

We expressed our creative sides with the adult art workshop Make an Aromatherapy Hand Scrub, Crafternoon, and our Hooks and Needles group. We also participated in the Library’s all ages Makers Day

Those interested in writing participated in our Intro to Memoir Writing Workshop. We also enjoyed our various book clubs including Thrilling Tales, Crime Time, Cookbook Club, Let’s Talk About Books, and Bookish Vibes book club and author visit with Martha Hall Kelly.

We hosted a wide variety of lectures this month including:  9 Personality Types and How to Get Along with Them, Faith Ringgold: Artist, Author, Educator, OrganizerA Beginner’s Guide to Hiking, Barbie and Ruth: The History of America’s Most Famous Doll and Her Inventor, Women of New York, and Deadhead, Dead Leaf, or Prune: What Should I Be Doing?

Last but not least, we also enjoyed our evening and matinee screenings of our Movie of the Month: Poor Things and a weekend screening of our Saturday Movie: The Color Purple

Be sure to visit the Library’s event calendar to see what events we have planned for April. We hope to see you at the Library soon!
