We had some wonderful virtual and in-person adult programs take place during the month of June. Here is a quick recap of what happened at the Library this month!
We listened to informative in-person lectures. In honor of D-Day, we enjoyed listening to Escape From Behind Enemy Lines. We also hosted an informative talk on Ticks and Lyme Disease. Art enthusiasts were able to enjoy an art lecture on Winslow Homer: American Vision, Close to Nature. We also celebrated Pride Month with a wonderful lecture on Famous LGBTQ+ Artists.
Those looking to get crafty enjoyed our Pinterest Inspired Adult Craft, where we made painted glass soap dispensers, as well as our drop-in Color Your Stress Away and Crafternoon groups. We also enjoyed the instructor-led craft The Expressive Dancer: A Drawing and Collage Adult Art Workshop.
In celebration of Juneteenth, we partnered with the Youth Services Department to host a Juneteenth Celebration for families of all ages!
Those looking to enjoy an evening film joined us in the Library’s program room for our monthly Classic Movie Tuesday. It was wonderful to enjoy a classic film with friends in the program room!
We also enjoyed our monthly Senior Happening where The Synergismus Duo presented a “Dance Through the Ages.”
We wouldn’t be a library without books! Readers came together to discuss select monthly titles at our Let’s Talk About Books, Unstuck in Time, Crime Time, and Bookish Vibes book groups!
Last but not least, June marked the beginning of our Adult Summer Reading program! Adult Summer Reading runs from June 20th through August 1st. For every adult item checked out, you can earn a raffle ticket for the chance to win some really cool prizes. You can register for Adult Summer Reading here.
