We started 2024 off with some fun, engaging, and entertaining programs for adults this month. Here is a quick recap of what took place.
We started off the new year with programs to improve our mind and body! This month we enjoyed our monthly Adult Yoga Workshop, a lecture on the Warrior Mindset: 7 Mindset Shifts to Unleash Your Inner Warrior, and a health lecture on Hearing Loss and Preventing Cognitive Decline.
Adults also enjoyed many other lectures this month including Long Term Care: Know Your Options, Introduction to Seed Starting and Microgreens (stay tuned for the Library’s new seed library coming in 2024!), and a virtual lecture on The Remnants and Revival of Jewish Life in Poland.
We explored cinema with a lecture on The Greatest Sitcoms of all Time, and we also enjoyed our Movie of the Month film screenings as well as the highly anticipated evening screening of the Barbie movie.
Those looking to explore their creative side enjoyed our Adult Art Workshop: Whimsical Sock Gnome, Crafternoon drop-in craft, and Livi Cares volunteer opportunity where we made finger knitted scarves to be donated to a local hospice. Those who enjoy textile crafts such as knitting, crochet, and needle point enjoyed our Thursday night Hooks and Needles drop-in group.
Seniors enjoyed our first 2024 Senior Happening with a performance by Brad Ziffer.
We also started the new year off with a wide variety of book clubs! Readers enjoyed our Bookish Vibes book club and author visit with Victoria Benton Frank, our in-person Thrilling Tales book club, Let’s Talk About Books meeting, Cookbook Club, and Crime Time book club.
Be sure to visit our events calendar to save the date for all of the wonderful programs we have planned for February.
We hope to see you at the Library soon!
