Which books should win the Garden State Children’s Book Award 2027? Children can vote for their favorite nominees from now until November 30th.  The nominated books were selected by a committee of New Jersey librarians and are divided into four categories: early readers, fiction, graphic novels, and nonfiction.  The winners will be announced in June.

Nominees include fiction like: The Bletchley Riddle and  Magnolia Wu Unfolds It All

Early Readers like: Makeda Makes a Home for Subway and Owlets and Tarts

Graphic novels like: Batcat Cooking Contest and The Cartoonists Club

and Nonfiction like: From Plant to Plate and A Grand Idea: How William J. Wilgus Created Grand Central Terminal
