February was full of wonderful adult programs! Below is a quick recap of what events we enjoyed at the Library.
February is celebrated as Black History Month. This month we enjoyed a wide variety of programs including Adult Art Workshop: Kente Paper Weaving and the lectures The Legacy of Three Black Composers, Lena Horne, and Booth, Lincoln, and the Shot that Changed America.
February is also Heart Health Month. This month we enjoyed the workshop Calming Practices for a Peaceful Heart in the Library’s program room.
We also celebrated winter with our first all ages WinterFest event. This two part event started with an ice sculpture carving demonstration on the Library’s patio and then continued inside with hot chocolate, cookies, and crafts.
Livingston High School’s Jewelry Club hosted a Jewelry Making Workshop for adults and teens. Those looking to get creative also enjoyed our instructor-led Adult Art Workshop: Sock Gnomes program and our drop-in Crafternoon and Hooks and Needles events.
We value our health! This month we enjoyed an informative health lecture on Kidney Disease and Gout. We also enjoyed an all-abilities Adult Yoga Workshop.
We also enjoyed our monthly book clubs. This month readers attended our Bookish Vibes: Book Club and Author Visit with Kathleen Grissom, in-person Thrilling Tales book club, Let’s Talk About Books, and Crime Time.
Do you enjoy watching movies and films? Attendees enjoyed our evening and matinee screenings of our Movie of the Month, The Holdovers, and our Weekend Movie Screening, Priscilla, in the Library’s program room.
Those looking for a fun-filled evening with friendly competition attended our all ages Bingo Night!
Seniors also enjoyed our monthly Senior Happening performance where Stephen Fuller performed. We look forward to our March Senior Happening where Fred Miller will perform a lecture-in-song.
