February Adult Programming Wrap Up

This February we enjoyed many wonderful adult programs at the Library! Here is a brief recap of what happened at the Livingston Library this month.

We got creative this month with lots of crafty opportunities! Patrons enjoyed your drop-in Crafternoon event as well as our brand-new Crafterwork workshop! We also enjoyed our monthly Hooks & Needles meeting, where attendees gathered to work on knitting, crochet, and needle point projects!

February is Black History Month. To celebrate Black History Month, we enjoyed a lecture on Stories of NJ Slavery and a lecture of Scott Joplin: King of Ragtime. The Library was also pleased to show the film Maya Angelou: Reflections of a Blessed Soul in partnership with the Livingston Arts Council.

Our monthly Senior Happening also celebrated Black History, where musician Stephen Fuller performed “The Music of Harry Belafonte.”

Are you interested in discovering your Ancestry? In this month’s lecture on Genetic Genealogy, we learned all about how DNA testing in combination with other genealogy research can help you in your search!

February is also the month of love and relationships. This month we celebrated this with a lecture on Valentine’s Greetings

Are you taking care of your heart? In our Heart Health Matters lecture in partnership with RWJ Barnabas, taught us how to keep our heart healthy and strong!

We also enjoyed many book clubs this month including: Let’s Talk About Books, Bookish Vibes with Pamela Erens, Crime Time, and our new in-person Thrilling Tales book club!

Do you enjoy watching movies on the big screen? Our Tuesday Night Movie was shown in the Library’s program room, where attendees enjoyed a screening of the film “The Banshees of Inisherin.”

And last but not least, our English Language Learners program met with one-on-one conversation secession, as well as our Basic English Grammar Class and ELL Book Club

Be sure to visit our events calendar to see all the wonderful events we have taking place in March.

We hope to see you at the Library soon!
