February Adult Program Wrap Up

This February we had some lovely programs! Here’s a recap of what happened this month.

Marilyn Fish presented What’s it Worth:  Valuing Your Treasures and we found out all about what happens behind the scenes at Antiques Roadshow.

We got crafty three times this month! Julie Murphy taught us how to make Upcycled Snowflakes, Erica Pizza instructed us at our Adult Paint Night: Winter Woods program, and our Livingston Librarian’s showed us how to make Watercolor Word Art at our latest Pinterest Inspired Craft!

In honor of Black History Month and the Civil Rights Movement, the documentary Alice’s Ordinary People was shown.  A discussion with filmmaker Craig Dudnick followed the film.

Marcy Dermansky, author of Very Nice, joined us for an Author Visit on February 6.  Dermansky read from her novel, followed by an engaging and intimate discussion.

We perfected our tech skills this month with workshops on Introduction to iPad , Windows 10 Basics, and Market Your Business with ReferenceUSA.

The lecture Family Caregiving for the 21st Century presented by Jeremy Nachtigall, taught us solutions to some of the common challenges facing the senior and disabled communities and their adult children.

Eva Silver of ACAP presented a lecture on Healing with Humor.  We learned how humor is a vital part of both mental and physical wellness.

But that wasn’t all! We also enjoyed our Color Your Stress Away program in our new seating area as well as our Feminist Fare, Let’s Talk About Books, and  Bookish Vibes book groups, Saturday at the Movies, and Senior Happening! To see what amazing programs we have planned for March, visit our events calendar here.
