local history collection blog

Did you know that the Livingston Public Library has a Local History Collection that you can browse both in the library and digitally at home? It’s true!

Access to the Library’s local history room is available by appointment. In the Local History Room you can explore the Library’s collection of photographs, yearbooks, subject files for various town landmarks, historical records, and more. Appointments can be made through the Library’s website and are based on staff availability. You  can learn more about booking an appointment for the Library’s Local History Room here.

The Library also has a digitized Local History Collection available 24/7 through the Library’s website. Here you will find digitized photos, Livingston High School Yearbooks, videos of local interest, and oral history audio recordings from prominent members in Livingston’s past.  You can explore the digitized local history archives here.
