ESL Volunteers Needed

Did you know that the Livingston Public Library has an English as a Second Language (ESL) program run by volunteers?

Our ESL program is expanding and we are currently looking for more volunteers to teach one-on-one or small groups of adult students who wish to improve their English.  These volunteers will work one or two hours a week, in either the daytime or the evening.  Teaching experience is helpful but is not required.  Materials and training will be provided by the Library.

To apply to be an ESL volunteer fill out the ESL Volunteer Application Form here and return it to the Reference Department.

Our students thank you!

-Jessica Bielen, Adult Services Librarian

  1. Hi!

We hope all is well. We are contacting you from Words Beyond Worlds which is an organization that is dedicated to teach individuals English. We are an NJ based organization. As founders of this organization (Eza Iqbal and Arjun Krishnakumar) we are dedicated to bridging the language and cultural gaps, foster academic success, and facilitate social integration for ESL students for free.

We wanted to reach out to ask if you’d be interested in expanding and establishing classes with us. We are willing to adapt to the times needed and we are also very flexible. As of right now we have taught over 100 students that consist of both adults and children using a tailored curriculum both via zoom and in person. If there are young children or even adults that you think may like this opportunity please reply to this email and we’d be more than willing to discuss it further and partner with your organization.

    Best Regards
    Words Beyond Worlds
