It’s summer reading season! And Digby the Dinosaur and Legend the Llama are learning all about dinosaurs.
Digby and Legend have moved on to the Jurassic Period! This was 201–145 million years ago. This week, Digby and Legend put together a bunch of facts about a dinosaur who lived then: the Allosaurus!

The Allosaurus may look a lot like a Tyrannosaurus rex, but they’re actually not that closely related. In fact, the T. rex did not come along until the Cretaceous Period — millions of years after the Allosaurus existed! T. rex lived closer in time to humans than it did to the Allosaurus! 🤯
Come to the Youth Services wing every week to learn about dinosaurs, check out books, and attend programs. While you’re here, help Digby and Legend decorate our walls by coloring in pictures of the featured Dinosaur of the Week! Last week, visitors learned all about the Coelophysis.

Be sure to Unearth a Story by being part of our Summer Challenge! Open to all ages.
