December Virtual Programming Wrap Up

December has come and gone, and during this month we had some wonderful virtual adult programs! From lectures, to book clubs, to crafts, the Livingston Public Library has virtual activities for all interests! Here’s what took place this month

We got crafty with two crafting programs this month.  Registered attendees stopped by the library to pick up supplies to make beautiful and upcycled winter snowflakes for our self guided Pinterest Inspired Craft.  Livingston residents also enjoyed a Virtual Adult Paint Night, where an artist from Express Yourself Studio taught us how to paint a gorgeous winter scene from the comfort of your own homes!

Have you wanted to up your smartphone photo skills?  We learned how to take amazing pictures with our smartphones during a Zoom lecture on the Best Practices for Smartphone Photography presented by Steffen Kaplan.  We can’t wait to put these new skills into practice!

Creating a fantastic resume is an important part of the job seeking process.  We learned how to improve our resumes during a virtual lecture on Tools to Create a Dynamic Resume, presented by Jennifer Rodgers.

Keeping healthy during the holidays can be difficult.  ShopRite dietitian Allie Sanderson joined us on Zoom for a lecture on Holiday Nutrition.  Allie showed us some yummy and healthy holiday recipes as well as tips and tricks for staying healthy during the holiday season!

The paintings of Norman Rockwell have remained a beloved American original artist for many years.  Art history lecturer Janet Mandel joined us for a talk on Normal Rockwell an American Phenomenon.  It was fascinating.

We love book clubs at the Livingston Public Library! This month we enjoyed discussing books during our Let’s Talk Abook Books, Bookish Vibes, and Unstuck in Time book clubs.

Be sure to visit the Library’s events calendar to see what great programs we have planned for January.  We hope to see you soon!
