Dear Livingston Library Community,

Summer is officially here!  As Van Morrison said, “Smell the sea, and feel the sky. Let your soul and spirit fly.”  The Livingston Public Library offers several ways to keep you cool and inspired. Thanks to the generosity of the Friends of the Livingston Library, Livingston residents with valid library cards can check out passes for free admission to local museums.

Is a day in Manhattan on your schedule?  Stop in to The Jewish Museum, located on the Museum Mile at 5th Avenue and 92nd Street.  Or visit The Frick Collection, located in the Henry Clay Frick House at 5th Avenue and 70th Street for a tranquil environment.

Are you looking to enjoy nature and culture?  Visit The Grounds for Sculpture and spend the day wandering the through the beautiful landscaped grounds interspersed with works of art.

Are the children in need of some fun activities?  Imagine That!!! in Florham Park is just the place to learn and have fun.  Or visit the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, located at Pier 86 at 46th Street in Manhattan, this historical ship offers fun for the whole family.

Or is something local more of what you have in mind?  The Montclair Art Museum, Morris Museum, or Newark Museum may be just perfect.

No matter what you choose, while you’re enjoying your visit to these special places, keep in mind that museums are a window to our past and inspiration for our future.
