For those readers who prefer to escape back in time, this novel will transport you to 1925, where fifteen year old Catherine misses her home of Australia, where she would often swim in the warm waters.  Right now, she’s living with her aunt in London, a surgeon who has fought for women’s rights and has high expectations for her niece.

This book has been raved about on both Buzzfeed and Bustle, and offers the reader a different perspective on swimming.  From cold waters, to warm waters, to Olympic swimmers, this book is a love letter to water and the act of swimming in the many different ways we do.

Keep swimming!
