Celebrate Passover: Cookbooks From Your Library

Passover is an important Jewish holiday that typically falls in April and commemorates the biblical story of Exodus-when Moses helped the Jews escape from slavery in ancient Egypt some 3,000 years ago.  Food plays an integral role in the celebration of Passover.

The holiday lasts a total of seven or eight days (depending on where it’s being celebrated), and the first night of Passover begins with a ceremonial dinner, called a Seder, where the story of the Exodus is told.

Whether you are cooking a traditional seder meal or looking for old Jewish recipes but with a modern twist, these books available with your Livingston Library card, should offer ideas and inspiration.
