You’ve probably seen papel picado, even if you didn’t know the term for it. The colorful banners can be found at celebrations and events of all kinds. This month at the library, kids made their own and brought them home!

Visitors to our event also learned all about the history and significance of the art form. Check out the slides below for information and instructions about how to make your own papel picado banners!
