What book is your all time, hands down, favorite read?  Now, we’re not merely talking about a book that you simply love or enjoy, but rather a book that you have read, and re-read, and will probably re-read again in the coming years. 

There have been a few novels that I have re-read, two being The Beach House by Mary Alice Monroe and the sequel Swimming Lessons and another being Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah, which I had re-read for a book club and have thought about re-reading a third time just for pleasure.  But the novel that I have re-read the most times is Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte.

Katie: The Mist by Stephen King!

Joe: I have read The Great Gatsby three times now. First, for my high school English class when I was about 16. The second time was soon after I graduated college, when I was 22. The third time, I was 34. Each time I’ve read it, I have appreciated it even more. The story’s poignancy hits me harder, and F. Scott Fitzgerald’s skill as a writer impresses me more each time. I have since decided that I’ll re-read it once in each new decade of my life. I turned 40 this year, so I’m excited to revisit it in a few more years and see what I think of it then…

Hongmei: The Midnight Library by Matt Haig!

Archana: I don’t think I have ever re-read a book more than once, simply because I always like to move on to the next book in my infinitely long to-read list of books!But if I were to ever re-read something it would be one of the classics from Jane Austen (Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility), Oscar Wilde (Picture of Dorian Gray), detective stories of Sherlock Holmes, and titles like 1984 by George Orwell or To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I am sure I would enjoy and appreciate these books even more on my second read.
