August Adult Programming Wrap Up

We enjoyed some wonderful adult programs this August! Below is a recap of what events took place at the Library this past month.

Summer Reading commenced on August 4th. Patrons read books and earned raffle tickets towards weekly prize drawings.. Two grand prize winners took home new kindles! Patrons also participated in our Community Journal and our Why I Love My Library display.

Those looking for some technology help enjoyed our tech workshop on Using Your Kindle. Patrons learned how they can use their kindle to borrow and read digital books from the Library!

We explored our creative side this month with a plethora of adult crafts and workshops. Patrons enjoyed our Tiny Art Show event, where participants made beautiful painted  mini canvas masterpieces, our CrafterWork event, where we painted wine glasses,  our drop-in Crafternoon craft, and our instructor led Adult Art Workshop: Create a Mini Mosaic Piece.

We also enjoyed the first program in our new Rise and Refine: Elevate Your Yoga Journey from Beginner to Intermediate, where patrons of all levels practiced yoga together under the guidance of a local yoga instructor.

Those looking to foster self care and wellness enjoyed our Art Wellness program where we explored our “present” with colorful mandalas.

August was a time for gardens! This month we enjoyed the programs Seed Saving Basics and Let’s Compost All Year Round!

Those looking to play games enjoyed our monthly Drop-In Adult Gaming and our all ages Lawn Games on the Oval

This August we also enjoyed our in-person Thrilling Tales book club and our new multigenerational On the Same Page book club.

Those looking to beat the heat enjoyed Oscar winning films in the Library’s program room as part of our Weekend with the Oscars film series.

English Language Learners also participated in a variety of summer ELL programs, and we look forward to our Fall ELL sessions.

Make sure you visit our event calendar to save the dates for all of the fabulous events we have planned for September! We hope to see you at the Library soon!
