Beat the heat this summer and join us for these in-person and virtual adult events this August!

Creative Arts 

*Adult Art Workshop: Paint a Watercolor Seascape | August 10 at 11am

In keeping with this year’s summer reading theme, “Oceans of Possibilities”, paint a colorful watercolor seascape and place it in a wooden frame embellished by you with sea shells and sand.

Color Your Stress Away | August 18 at 11am 

Join the Livingston Public Library for drop-in coloring in the adult seating area! 

Crafternoon | August 25 at 12pm 

Join us in the adult seating area for our monthly drop-in craft!

Lectures 

A Peek into the Beehive | August 13 at 7pm

Join us, where local beekeeper Lior Shliechkorn will give you a glimpse into the unique and complex world of the beehive.

Never Say Invisible Book Launch | August 24 at 7pm 

Join us in the Library’s Technology Room to celebrate the life and launch of local author Jermey Schreiber’s memoir “Never Say invisible.” In this memoir, Jermey shares his journey after he received a terrifying diagnosis: ALS. Sadly, Jermey passed away on October 29, 2021. 

*VIRTUAL The Amazing Science of the James Webb Telescope | August 31 at 7pm

During this conversation Modhumita Sabata, Principal Systems Engineer at the Space Science Institute, will take us on a journey exploring the science behind this project. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions about the James Webb Telescope, and will come away with a new facinstation for astronomy.

*VIRTUAL Bookish Vibes Book Club & Author Visit with Ellen Feldman | August 10 at 7pm 

Join our monthly Bookish Vibes book club where we will be reading “The Living and the Lost” by Ellen Feldman, who will also be joining our discussion on Zoom!

Enjoy these Oscar nominated movie screenings in the Library’s program room!
